Uzbekyengilsanoat to increase goods export by 2.7 times by 2015
Uzbekyengilsanoat state joint stock company (Uzbek Light Industry) is planning to increase exports of products by 2.7 times by 2015 compared to 2010.
According to the company, the export of light industry will grow from US$592.8 million in 2010 to US$1.578 billion in 2015. The export of industry will make up US$733.5 million in 2011, US$985.1 million in 2012, US$1.195 billion in 2013 and US$1.376 billion in 2014.

Uzbekistan’s light industry to implement 106 projects in 2011-2015
Uzbekyengilsanoat state joint stock company (Uzbek Light Industry) will implement 106 projects worth US$1.678 billion in 2011-2015.
The company said the own resources will make up US$331 million, foreign investments - US4361.4 million and loan resources - US$985.5 million, of which US$117.7 million were loans of commercial banks and US$867.8 million - resources of Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan.

Italian Textile Machinery Industry seeks new opportunities in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan
In mid-October, an Italian delegation of textile machinery manufacturers will visit Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. This institutional mission, organized by ACIMIT (the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) and by the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, has planned a series of institutional and business meetings in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, and Tashkent, in Uzbekistan, where a technology seminar will also be held, followed by bilateral meetings.

Uzbekistan collected over 3.4 million tonnes of raw cotton this year, the Uzbek President Islam Karimov said in his congratulation message to cotton-growers of the country.
