Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover hits US$5.718 billion in 1Q 2011
Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached US$5.718 billion in the first quarter of 2011 (+32.3%), the Uzbekistan State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said. The trade turnover with the CIS states made up US$2.228 billion and other countries - US$3.49 billion.

Uzbekistan posts 7.6% GDP growth in 1Q 2011
Economy of Uzbekistan, in line with the preliminary data, grew by 7.6% in the first quarter of 2011, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
According to the committee, the volume of the gross domestic product (GDP) in the reporting period made up 13.123 trillion soums. The GDP of Uzbekistan rose by 7.6% in the first quarter of 2010 as well.
