May 2-7 delegation of the Association "Uztextile" visited Rome, Verona, Turin, Milan (Italy) to participate in the 6th meeting of the Uzbek-Italian Intergovernmental Working Group (IWG) on trade, economic and industrial cooperation and export credits, as well as to develop industrial cooperation in the field of textile, garment and knitting industries between Uzbekistan and Italy.
May 1 of this year In the city of Tashkent in the building of the Association "Uztextileprom" Uzbek-Turkish seminar was held on the theme: "Opportunities for bilateral cooperation in textile engineering".
On 25 April, Uztekstilprom Association hosted a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Vinod Kumar, in connection with the completion of the mission of the ambassador.
On 26 April, during the press conference on the development of the textile industry in Uzbekistan, foreign advisers to the chairman of the Uztekstilprom Association were presented.
Uzbekistan increased internal processing of cotton fiber from 7% in 1991 to 60% in 2018. The figure will reach 100% by 2025, it was announced during the press conference in Tashkent.
